An Introduction

When we look around our country and compare the socio-economic conditions of our masses spread over the vast areas, we find that our tribal brethren and other weaker sections of the society are the worst sufferers.They have been continuously ignored by the successive Governments and our society as well. They live in abject / utter poverty and a large-scale illiteracy which makes our ears bleed. Six decades of independence  have not brought a ray of hope and sunshine in their lives. The urban dwellers have been confining themselves to their elitist surroundings only.  No nation can achieve true greatness unless the condition of its poor and downtrodden brethren improves.Manav Seva Pratisthan is engaged in the task of The Pratisthan works in the field of education (Siksha) health care (Swasthya), Sanskar and awakening. We have ten centers  in West Bengal at Gopali, Jhargram, Amta, Phuleswar, Podra, Gangasagar, Jalaberia, Krishnanagar, Farraka and Calcutta. There  we run Schools, Hostels, Libraries, Dispensaries, Yatri Seva for ‘Manav Seva is Narayan Seva’ has always been the cardinal principle of  Hindu Society since times immemorial. Keeping the interests of most needy  and deprived people of the society into its consideration, the Manav Seva Pratisthan was founded and registered on 28.05.81 under Indian Trust Act with the following objectives.

There we run schools, hostels, libraries, Bal Sanskar Kendras, mobile medical vans, dispensaries, Vocational Training Centres, Bhajan Mandalis, Coaching Centres, Women Welfare Centres, Youth Centres, Yatri Seva for pilgrims and others.

Kolkata Project

This project is situated at 17B, Nalini Sarkar Street., Kolkata 700 004. Bhagchandka family of Calcutta has donated a four (4) Storied building constructed on about 2 Katthas 5 Chattacks land to us. We are using this  as Head Qtr. of Service Projects and Guest House for Project workers. We are also having the following activities at this Centre:

  1. Charitable Dispensary
    Two Homeopathic Doctors are attending this centre.
  2. Satsang Kendra
    There is a big room wherein the inmates and some local people attend the satsang.
  3. Medicine Distribution Centre
    It is used as centre for medicine distribution to all the medical clinics run by us in different projects.
  4. Neurotherapy Centre.Besides the above permanent projects, we intend to start “One Teacher School” and yearlong “social awareness Programme” in Tribal & backward areas in W.Bengal.

Tax Relief

We enjoys exemption of the Income Tax Act. Donation for these projects are fully deductible in the hands of donors. Manav Seva Pratisthan is registered under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 1976. Our Registration No. is . We are authorised by Govt. of India to  accept foreign donations.
